Since June 2011, Ms. Tzy Wen Gong has been the Instructor for Ann Arbor East Kumon. She follows Dr. and Mrs Takeshita who established this center as the first Kumon Center in Michigan in 1990. Ms. Gong is an educator with over 20 years in biological research and research teaching as well as five years of instructional teaching of graduate courses at University of Michigan. As a Kumon parent for over 13 years (with two children now in college), she fully appreciates the Kumon values and philosophy. She is dedicated to help students reach their full potential and meet each challenge as they move through the Kumon program.

Your free assessment helps us understand your child’s current learning level so we can recommend the best starting point. During the assessment, your child will complete a placement test, and the instructor will review the results with you and explain how the Kumon Program can support your child’s individual learning needs. There is no obligation to enroll, and you can reschedule your appointment at any time.
