Scheduling Policy:
- All students/parents are required to schedule and commit to a specific time to attend class on Monday and Thursday.
- Students must arrive on time to complete their assignments for the day.
- If you arrive late (i.e., 10 mins after your scheduled time) you will be asked to pick up your child's assignments for the day.
- If the student is unable to attend class, please call the Center by 11:00am on the day of class. This will allow us to make adjustments to the student's plan and prepare the work to be picked up.
- If you are in need of changing your scheduled time, please do so at least a week in advance. We will try to accommodate your request.
Classroom Policy:
- For the safety of all our students, we require that the parents of our younger students (ages 3-6) remain in the waiting area while their child is in class.
- No student will be allowed to leave the center unless they are released directly to a parent/guardian. If the parents are not there at the end of the class session, students will remain inside the center until a parent notifies a Kumon employee, at which time the student will be released.
- It is imperative that all parents of 7 year students are at the center to pick up their children at least 5 minutes before their class session ends so that we may serve each child at their allotted times.
- In order to maintain an atmosphere conducive to study, we request that only students enter the Kumon classroom.
- Please make sure your child visits the restroom and gets a drink of water (if desired) prior to beginning their work.
- No food or drinks are allowed in the classroom or parent waiting area.
Payment Policy:
- We would like to see parents make the initial commitment of at least 6 months in order to begin seeing the true benefits of our program.
- Monthly tuition is due by the 30th of the preceding month.
- If you choose to pay be Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), you will be asked to provide your banking information along with a canceled check at the time of registration to facilitate this process.
- If you choose to pay on a month-to-month basis, the first and last month tuition payment, the registration fee, and the materials fee are due at the time of enrollment.
- 30 days notice is required if you intend on discontinuing Kumon study or if you wish to make changes to your EFT account.
Absence Policy:
A student who, for whatever reason, does not pay tuition or take any Kumon materials in a given month for a particular subject is considered "absent" for that month for that subject. Students will be allowed a period of absence not to exceed one month per calendar year per subject. Students reported as absent for more than one month in a given calendar year in a subject will be considered un-enrolled for that subject. Students whose status is un-enrolled in both subjects will be assessed a registration fee when re-enrolling.
If a family plans to be on vacation, parents must send an email at least one week prior to the absence. Please indicate the class days to be missed and any adjustments required for the students' work. We encourage that students do not take break from their regular Kumon routine on long trips. You may send emails to
