About Your Instructor
Nandita Mahagaokar
Hello and welcome to the Kumon Math & Reading Center of Bridgewater. My name is Nandita Mahagaokar, and I am the owner and instructor here.
My background includes an MBA and a teacher certification—training that has allowed me to blend strong educational foundations with practical, real-world experience.
Prior to becoming a Kumon Instructor, I worked at Hewlett-Packard. After my twins were born I pursued a teaching career and I have had the pleasure of working with children across many grades over almost three decades to date.
My connection to Kumon began years ago when my own children were students in the program. They benefitted greatly from the confidence, independent learning skills, and strong study habits Kumon helped them build. Witnessing that impact firsthand inspired me to explore Kumon more deeply as a continuation of my teaching career.
Being an educator, I am committed to supporting students holistically by helping them develop good work discipline, work stamina, independent learning and build confidence. I enjoy creating GEMS (Genuine Educational Moments) wherein something about a concept “clicks” and a challenging concept suddenly feels exciting. I maintain that it’s important to understand how concepts work and learn for life, not only for the moment. “Knowledge is power” is my mantra and my goal is to empower every student in my center to succeed.
Outside of the center, I enjoy meeting people, traveling, exploring eclectic and gourmet food, swimming, golfing, and practicing yoga to stay centered and energized.
Mr. Kumon believed that children are born with unlimited potential and devised a successful method to tap that potential. As he said, “Give it a try or you’ll never know”.
Looking forward to seeing you at my center!
