NATANIA BLUMENKEHL
Natania Blumenkehl has worked with children since 1998 as a classroom teacher and tutor. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University in 2000 and a M.A. in Education from Adelphi University in 2004. Natania began her career in education during her junior year of college, working as a substitute teacher in New Brunswick, NJ. After graduation, she worked full time as a 4th grade teacher in Brownsville, Brooklyn, followed by 5 years teaching 7th and 8th grade in Coney Island. She taught 4th grade academic intervention -- prepping students for the New York State ELA and Math tests – at a Charter School in East New York during the 2009-10 academic year. In 2010-11, she worked as a Title 1 teacher for the NYC Department of Education Non-Public Schools. She has done private tutoring and test-prep since 2009, helping children to succeed on the OLSAT, SHSAT, ERB, New York State ELA and Math tests for grades 3-8, and general studies. Natania opened Kumon of Carroll Gardens in April of 2011.
