About Your Instructor
SIMA TIMBALIA
Mrs. Sima Timbalia was raised in North Carolina. Her parents instilled the value of education and having a strong foundation early on. She strongly believes that "A good education is the basis of whatever one wishes to accomplish and enjoy life to its fullest." She attended the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill where she received her degree in BSPH (Bachelors of Science in Public Health) with a concentration in Nutrition. She completed her dietetic internship at The Ohio State University and soon passed her boards to become a Registered Dietitian. Mrs. Sima worked in the Food Industry for seven years in various departments such as Sensory, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Technical, Quality Control, Purchasing and Logistics in several companies including Wendy's International, The J.M. Smucker Company and McClancy Seasoning. In 2013, Mrs. Sima chose to become the Instructor for the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Cary - Farm Woods. Her passion is to work with the students, and makes it her personal mission to help children acquire critical lifelong skills to become successful in whatever they wish to do. Mrs. Sima is known to be very detail oriented, passionate about teaching kids life skills, and will go above and beyond to help her students reach their full potential.
