Ricky Shah
Meet Ricky Shah, the Director of the Kumon Center in Chesterfield, MO.
Ricky's Kumon journey started as a student at the very same center he now manages. He holds the distinction of being one of the first students to complete both the Math and Reading Program, providing him with a unique perspective as a Kumon Instructor. With a keen understanding of student needs and parent concerns, Ricky is well-equipped to provide personalized support to each student at the center.
After graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in political science, Ricky pursued his passion for helping others by working on special economic development projects in North City, St. Louis. He then transitioned into a political campaign management and has since worked on successful campaigns for both major political parties and action groups in the Midwest.
In addition to his interests in development and politics, Ricky has devoted the last 21 years to working at the Kumon Center in Chesterfield, MO as a high-level math instructor before assuming the role of Director.
Ricky attributes his success both inside and outside of the classroom to the Kumon Program and his family. His experience has instilled in him the values of independence, time-management, and perseverance that he shares with his students every day.
