About Your Instructor
Ji Kyung (Jamie) Kwon
Jamie Kwon is a committed educator with a unique passion for teaching, founded on years of experience and personal dedication. Having a bachelor's degree in Clothing and Textiles in Korea and being a proud graduate of F.I.T., she has twenty years in the fashion industry. Most importantly, Jamie has over fifteen years of teaching experience, which began with her volunteer work as a Kindergarten teacher at her Sunday School. This experience sparked her lifelong passion for education and guided her on the path to becoming a respected Kumon instructor.
As a parent herself, Jamie understands firsthand the value of education. Both of her children, now in college with education-related majors, were once Kumon students and have also worked as Kumon assistants since high school. With a family deeply connected to the Kumon program, Jamie has created a lasting legacy of academic excellence within her family, one that she proudly continues through her work at Kumon Cliffside Park.
With her extensive background in teaching and a heart dedicated to empowering children, Jamie is committed to helping every student who walks through the doors of Kumon Cliffside Park achieve far beyond their expectations. She believes that knowledge is power and is determined to unlock the full potential in each child, fostering confidence, resilience, and a love for learning.
