About Your Instructor
Madhuri Lolla
Madhuri holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematical Sciences, completed in 2012, with a specialization in Applied Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations. She has been an educator for over 20 years, teaching a broad range of math subjects across schools, universities, and through private tutoring. Madhuri has worked with students from elementary through college, and her passion for teaching began in high school when she helped classmates with Trigonometry and Precalculus.
Before becoming a Kumon Instructor, she served as a Lecturer and part-time Instructor at the University of North Carolina Charlotte, where she taught College Algebra, Precalculus, Introductory Statistics, Probability and Statistics for Engineers, and Calculus. She is known for fostering deep conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, always tailoring her instruction to meet individual student needs.
Although her students thrived in traditional classrooms, Madhuri believed a more consistent, independent approach could lead to stronger, faster results. This led her to explore the Kumon Method. Its philosophy of daily practice, self-learning, and incremental challenge strongly aligned with her own.
Since opening her Kumon Center, she has helped students not only improve academically but also gain confidence and independence. Her work is driven by the belief that every child can achieve their potential with the right support, discipline, and encouragement.
Madhuri has successfully completed her training and is now a certified Kumon Math and Reading Instructor. She is thrilled to be part of Kumon’s mission to unlock each student’s full potential, from early learners to advanced grade levels. By fostering a positive attitude toward studying and cultivating strong study habits, she aims to help students maximize their abilities and contribute to a unique learning experience that benefits the global community.
