About the Center

Introduction

Welcome to Kumon Math and Reading Center of Dublin - Central!

Our center was opened in August 2011. For more than 60 years, Kumon’s after school academic enrichment program has helped children achieve success worldwide. We strive to instill children the desire to achieve and the motivation to learn on their own. Whether your child is seeking enrichment, needs help catching up, or is just beginning his or her academic career, Kumon is designed to help him or her develop a love of learning.

Students advance through the program at their own pace. Our emphasis on individualized learning helps your child become focused, motivated, and self-reliant. We monitor each child’s progress to ensure comprehension before moving on to a new concept. With a strong academic foundation, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, your child has the potential to achieve whatever he or she desires.

The Kumon Math Program is a comprehensive curriculum that develops the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus. For more information about the Kumon Math Program, click here.

The Kumon Reading Program begins with basic phonics and progresses all the way through advanced reading comprehension. For more information about the Kumon Reading Program, click here.

The Kumon Early Learner Program is for Preschool and Kindergarten age students and is run by specially trained and certified Kumon staff and instructor. The program is designed to help students at these ages to develop pre-reading and math skills. We focus on helping young children develop the vital learning skills of basic phonics, vocabulary, memory, and number-sense.  We also make the learning fun and enjoyable while providing parental education about how to help the younger students practice at home.  It is recommended that Preschool and Kindergarten students study in both Math and Reading.

Policies

Please make sure your children can use the restroom by themselves.

Please drop off and pick up your children in a timely manner.

We do not offer make up classes due to a high volume of students. If your child is unable to make it to their set class times, please pick up the material for that day.

We speak to the student to see how they feel, including: their stress level, if the material is too hard or too easy, and what they think is a fair workload. We do take parents' requests for workload, but it is ultimately up to the teacher and student.
