Cleanliness Policies
· The Center will be disinfected prior to reopening for students, with additional cleaning measures occurring daily:
o Disinfecting occurring during center hours, every 45 minutes focusing on all commonly used areas and items, as recommended by the CDC.
o Disinfecting tables/stools between student rotation.
· The Center’s doors will be opened once every 45 minutes to allow for increased airflow and ventilation.
Safety Protocols
· The Center will reopen in a hybrid learning environment, allowing for in-person and virtual learning sessions. In-person sessions will be limiting the occupancy to 20 persons in the Center at any given time, in accordance with state occupancy requirements of 50% capacity.
o Students will be scheduled to ensure we do not exceed the occupancy requirements.
· The student and assistant desks and stools will be spaced throughout the center to allow for proper 6-foot distancing.
o A Plexiglass Sneeze Guard will be used where a less than 6-foot student-teacher interaction is required
· The Center will implement and communicate hygiene measures for parents, students,and staff to follow, including:
o Requiring the use of masks
o Temperature checks upon entry with a touchless thermometer
o Asking students to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer upon entering the center
o Students will be responsible for bringing their own pencils and erasers, in order to not share items
o Staff will be required to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer upon entering the center, and every 45 minutes during their shift
o Posting CDC and hygiene flyers in the Center
· The parent waiting area of our center will be closed to prevent unnecessary gathering and reduce occupancy within the center.
Health Monitoring
· Staff and students/parents who have been sick or symptomatic will be required to stay home and not attend the center.
· In the event the center is exposed to a probable or confirmed case of COVID-19, we will refer to the guidance provided by the State of Pennsylvania and the Center for Disease Control for proper handling and communication.
· Any student who arrives with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will not be permitted to enter the center.
