About the Center

Welcome to our Kumon Math and Reading Center of Ellicott City - Normandy. For more than 50 years, the Kumon after-school academic enrichment program has been helping children achieve success worldwide. Kumon of Ellicott City - Normandy strives for the same success, motivating all of our students to perform at their highest potential. We strive to instill in children the desire to achieve more, a love of learning and the motivation to learn on their own.

Kumon of Ellicott City - Normandy has been operated and maintained by Lily Chen for over twenty years. Our center includes a main room which seats over 35 students.

One time Registration fee: $80 per student.

Tuition is paid in advance and is due by the first of each month.

Monthly Tuition: $190 per subject. 

1.   Schedule and Time Slot: Please drop off your child at the center and arrive five minutes early. At this time, center scheduling is by appointment only through our online sign-up system. Contact Lily Chen if you need the link to sign up your child.  

2.    Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): All students will be required to wear a face mask and bring their own pencils and erasers. Students will not be allowed in the center if they do not have a face mask on.

3.   Sick children: The Center does not allow children who are sick to attend. This is to protect the students, staff, and visitors.

4.   Arrive on time: Please arrive at the Center at least 5 minutes prior to your child's scheduled session to ensure that they have time to finish their work.

5.   Enrollment and payment: A family may miss 30 days of classroom time in any 12- month period. Any student missing more than 30 days will be considered absent and will be dis-enrolled. Kumon of Ellicott City - Normandy requires 30 days notice to cancel enrollment in either Math or Reading.
