About Your Instructor
Jeffrey Suess
Jeff Suess is an experienced educator with over 25 years in the public school system, having taught Math, Science, English/L.A., and technology, and held several administrative positions. He was educated at the University of Alberta, and holds both Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Education. Looking for change and new challenges, Jeff was immediately attracted to Kumon’s focus on individualized instruction in the core areas of math and reading. As well, Kumon’s commitment to bringing out the full potential in their students as part of developing capable, self directed citizens matched his personal philosophy of education.
Outside of the classroom, Jeff is a voracious reader, and participates in many sports, including hockey, golf, skiing, softball, and darts. Jeff loves to travel with his wife, Donna on their motorcycles, or trains, planes, and automobiles as opportunities arise.
He volunteers with several organizations and charities that work to provide access and equipment for youth that want to participate in team sports, but have barriers before them.
Jeff grew up in Fulton Place, only a few minutes drive from this location, and is very pleased and excited to work with the families and communities of his old neighbourhood. He still resides in Southeast Edmonton.
