My Kumon journey began as a Kumon parent. I’ve seen and continue to see the benefit of the Kumon Program for my kids. This is what motivates me the most as I work with children every day.
I am the instructor at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Fremont - Mission San Jose in Fremont CA. I believe education is the key to success. To make education a long-term goal for any child their base has to be solid. If that does not happen children are always trying to catch up and tend to lose interest. Learning becomes interesting and joyous for children when they understand what they are doing. At each level understanding a new concept might require some other lower level concepts to be clear in the child’s mind. This is where the Kumon Method of working with students at their comfortable level and moving at their pace sets it apart.
I’ve been a Fremont Mission San Jose area resident for over 29 years now and understand the pressure our kids go through in the highly competitive schools here. This helps me make better lesson plans with goals for students that will help them all the way through high school and beyond. I also help students with their college application process and hence look at helping every Kumon student not just in their current grades, but build with them the tools for going beyond. The value of daily practice, dedication, commitment, consistency and self study skills are the backbone of the Kumon Method which I try to instill in my students from the very beginning.
Before my life as a Kumon Instructor, I worked as a software engineer and Realtor. I was also a Kumon parent for over 18 years.
