Every child has untapped potential.
Given the opportunity to study at Kumon, every child can develop deep comprehension, very fine writing skills, and study calculus before high school.
Yes, studying calculus before high school is a goal that Kumon Students around the world routinely obtain. Successfully navigating middle school and high school math starts with a strong foundation in the skills taught in elementary school. Kumon fills in the gaps and strengthens the foundation to enable children to study algebra in elementary school and calculus in middle school.

Reading comprehension and writing composition need to be developed at an early age because unlimited information is available on computers and the Internet, not to mention books and other non-digital media. Imagine the possibilities if our children start reading and writing at a young age; the younger, the better. They will learn and grow exponentially like compound interest.
The Kumon Reading Program begins with basic phonics and progresses all the way through advanced reading comprehension and writing composition. To learn more information about the Kumon Reading Program, click here.
It's never too late to start Kumon. There is always time to learn more and to do more to prepare for the future, whether your child is preparing for kindergarten, middle school, or college. A child's potential is unlimited when they are given the opportunity to practice starting at a young age and continuing through program completion as time goes by. The earlier a child starts, the sooner he or she can finish. There are no bounds to what a child can accomplish if given the opportunity to practice.
Practice makes possibilities.
Imagine the possibilities for your child.
Schedule an Orientation and Free Placement Test Today.
Find out how Kumon can benefit your child. Based on the placement test results we'll develop daily lessons specifically for your child. Your child would practice math for 20-30 minutes and reading for 20-30 minutes each day, 40 minutes to an hour total if doing both subjects. Through daily practice, your child will build study skills such as confidence, focus and work ethic while progressing through a detailed continuum of skills, showing mastery through accuracy and time goals.
Kumon Students come to the center twice a week and practice at home the other five days a week.
During center visits, our staff grades and assists students with classwork including corrections. On alternate days at home, parents schedule a specific time and establish a routine to monitor, grade, and correct homework just as we do at the center.
Goal Setting and Award Celebrations
As students master each concept and progress through a detailed continuum of skills, we set daily, monthly, and level completion goals. Students are awarded bronze, silver, gold, and platinum medals and trophies at goal setting meetings.
