About Your Instructor
Rukmani (Priya) Janakiraman
Before transitioning into education, I earned a Master’s degree in Computer Applications and spent 11 years in the IT industry, specializing in project management, technology solutions, and client relations. While I enjoyed my time in tech, I wanted to make a more meaningful, direct impact in the lives of children. That led me to Kumon, where for the past 12 years, I’ve been helping students master math and reading, while growing in self-confidence and self-reliance. To date, I have had the opportunity to help hundreds of students achieve academic and personal successes.
After moving to the DFW area, I saw it as the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my Kumon journey, one focused on continuing my mission to empower students through self-learning and academic confidence. This passion led me to open the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Little Elm in 2025, with the goal of positively impacting children’s lives and contributing to the local community.
I am dedicated to fostering an environment where students thrive through self-learning, discipline, and personalized instruction. I value open communication with parents and am committed to ensuring that each student receives the care, attention, and tailored support they deserve. Every child is unique, and I’m here to help them develop the skills and mindset they need to tackle academic challenges with confidence.
I’m truly excited to partner with you on this journey. Together, let’s help your child reach their fullest potential!
