About the Center

Welcome to the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Makakilo. We are located in Makakilo Elementary School.

For more than 60 years, Kumon’s after-school academic enrichment program has helped children achieve success worldwide. We strive to instill in children the desire to achieve and the motivation to learn on their own. Whether your child is seeking enrichment, needs help catching up or is just beginning his or her academic career, Kumon is designed to help him or her develop a love of learning.

The Kumon Math Program is a comprehensive curriculum that develops the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus. For more information about the Kumon Math Program, click here.

Tuition
Monthly Tuition: $150
Tuition is due before the 1st of the month and paid ahead of time (e.g. Tuition payment for December is due by December 1st.)

Payliance
Kumon of Makakilo will debit the account on the first of the month or the next business day if the date falls on a weekend or national holiday. The debit will be a receipt of your payment. Discontinuing Payliance requires 1 month notice. Please notify Instructor immediately if you need to discontinue Payliance services.

One-Time Fees Due at Registration (check or cash):
Registration Fee: $80
Materials Fee: $25

Enrollment period:
Enrollment period of six months minimum is highly recommended. 

Discontinuing Kumon:
Written notification by the 1st of the month (30 days advance notice) is required.

Absent from class and picking up work:
Call or text by 4:30pm on Monday & Thursday and let us know that you want to pick up your child's work. We can leave it in the Kumon mailbox located in the school office or they may be picked up in person before 5:00pm.

Long Term Absence:
Kumon allows for one month break (tuition free) per calendar year. If your child takes a break of two months or more, your child will be considered de-enrolled and a new registration fee will be due upon re-enrollment. 

Vacation Notice:
We encourage students to continue Kumon even on vacation! Please inform the instructor one week before your vacation so that we have enough time to prepare the extra homework packets. You may request a modification to the number of pages given or request no homework at all during vacation.
