About Your Instructor
Robert Rivero
Hello, my name is Robert Rivero and I am the instructor at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Makakilo. My wife and I have teaching backgrounds and we are both certified teachers. We were drawn to open a Kumon Center because of our passion for education and belief in the Kumon method. Both our children are also enrolled in the program and are experiencing academic growth and excelling beyond their grade levels.
Since becoming a Kumon franchise owner and instructor I have been given the opportunity to work with a wide variety of students and I have seen tremendous growth in independence, self-learning and confidence. While it does take commitment, like anything else, those that do make it a daily habit to do their 20-30 minutes develop academic strength and endurance, as having a strong routine would do in other areas of life. By prioritizing a small amount of time each day parents can give their children a strong start at an early age.
