About Your Instructor
ELIZABETH OMOJOLA
My name is Elizabeth Omojola. I am a veterinary doctor by training. However, I stopped my practice in order to raise my children. In 2001, my spouse opened a Kumon center. My involvement with the center started with assisting my children as they progressed through the program. As I observed the progress my children are making in Kumon, I decided to take a more active role in the center. This role has increased over the years.
Through keen observation, I know more about the Kumon philosophy and its effectiveness in transforming students academic capabilities. After observing so many struggling students succeed and good students excel with the Kumon method, and determining that there are so many students who can benefit from the Kumon method, I decided to become a Kumon instructor so I could help more students.
I believe that education is the most important way to liberate people from poverty, raise their standard of living, and help them to positively contribute to society. Education remains one of the most important means of bridging the economic, financial and cultural gaps in all societies. I believe that every child can learn when provided the right conditions, techniques and support. Children are curious by nature. I believe in harnessing this attribute by exposing them to a learning and nurturing environment as soon as they could talk, listen, and sit down attentively. I believe that every child has an innate ability to achieve in spite his/her background.
In addition to the sound academic content of the program, Kumon instills structure, discipline, concentration, and confidence in students. Through the strengths of the Kumon Method of learning, I hope to develop eager, motivated, and confident, learners with good study skills. I hope to develop high achievers who aspire as far as their potentials can take them. I will very much want my students to know that with the Kumon method, there are no limitations to what they can achieve.
I am a first-hand witness of how lives can be touched and changed for good by the Kumon program. I have been a Kumon parent and an instructor assistant for over ten years. I love children and want every child to be successful. I want to help children enjoy learning, and not to be afraid of math, reading, or exams.
