About the Center

Introduction

Welcome to the Kumon Math and Reading Center in Mill Creek - North. Our priority is our students and their families.  We believe that the greatest gift you can give your child is confidence. With more than a decade of implementing the Kumon program, our experience enables us to provide a rich learning environment and a plan designed to develop your child’s learning skills and confidence.

Children who attend Kumon routinely become better, more secure students. Our emphasis on logic skills and self-learning helps our students become focused, motivated and self-reliant. We work with each child individually as they move through the math and reading programs at their own pace. Then we closely monitor each child’s progress to ensure comprehension before moving on to a new concept. This builds critical thinking and problem solving abilities for a strong academic foundation, giving your child the skills needed to unleash her or his talents in school… and beyond.

For more than 50 years, Kumon has developed the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus and basic phonics through advanced reading comprehension. Whether your child is seeking enrichment, needs help catching up or is just beginning his or her academic career, Kumon is designed to help him or her develop a love of learning.

Snow days - My general policy is that I follow the local school districts lead.  If they have determined the conditions are too dangerous for students to come into school, then I also closed the center.  I do not want families to be out in dangerous conditions. You are welcome to make up the missed day by coming an extra day any following week that is convenient for you.  I am also happy to give students extra work to make up the missed days over the weekend.
