All families are welcome at Kumon of Merrick
Through July 3, will be using Zoom to enable distance learning for our students on both a scheduled and drop-in basis. Scheduled sessions are available 7 days/week from 11am - 4pm. Drop-in sessions are available Mon-Fri 5-7pm. Links are sent to currently enrolled families. Other times can be made available to accommodate your schedule. Zoom sessions during the week of July 6 will be by request only.
Current guidance is that children will be able to return to the Center when Nassau County reaches Phase 4 of re-opening which is currently expected to be July 8. July 8-12, we will be inviting each family to visit the Center individually to discuss the progress that each child has made during the stay-at-home period and each child's goals for the summer.
It is anticipated that we will resume holding in-person sessions at the Center on July 13. However, even after in-person instruction resumes, we will continue to offer Zoom for those who are not ready to return to the Center.
Through July 7, we are conducting Orientations for prospective new students via Zoom. When we are allowed to have people in the Center again, we will begin conducting Orientations either online or in-person. If you would like to add Kumon to your child's daily learning routine, please contact the Center at 516-206-4200 or click here
to schedule your orientation session.
Two documents have been created to communicate the the policies and procedures that will be implemented to ensure safety when the kids are allowed to return to the Center. The first is an outline
and the second is a more detailed description
Because of its origins as an at-home program, Kumon is uniquely positioned to help your children develop their skills even during the COVID crisis. Watch this video

Many experts are warning that not only will kids be subject to the usual "summer slide" but they will also be subject to an additional "COVID slide." Click here

Kumon is unlike any academic program you're likely to have experienced. At a Kumon Center, you'll find no blackboards or lectures. Instead of passively receiving instruction from teachers or tutors, Kumon Students actively develop self-learning skills. We offer FREE parent orientations and FREE placement testing
