All families are welcome at Kumon of Merrick
At this time, we are offering in-person, Zoom and hybrid learning opportunities to meet the needs of all children. All orientation
meetings are taking place in-person
unless virtual is specifically requested.
Masks will continue to be required
Most of the children attending the Center are too young to be vaccinated so we will continue to require masks for their safety.
The Kumon of Merrick Summer Reading Challenge begins June 1st. See the Forms section of our Resources
page for more information.

Kumon is unlike any academic program you're likely to have experienced. At a Kumon Center, you'll find no blackboards or lectures. Instead of passively receiving instruction from teachers or tutors, Kumon Students actively develop self-learning skills.
Here are a number of great videos which are suggested watching for anyone interested in learning more about the Kumon Method:

The Center is set up to promote distancing between students. There is only one child per table (except siblings) and there is a plastic barrier on each table (there is a smiley face on each barrier to help you see them). The baskets are used for contactless exchange for grading. There is hand sanitizer on each table.
We offer FREE parent orientations and FREE placement testing
