Welcome to Kumon of Palo Alto!

Hello! My name is Janet Kwei and I’m the center director for Kumon of Palo Alto.

Over the past 30 years as a Kumon instructor, I have been lucky to work with students throughout Palo Alto and the surrounding area. My own kids went through the Kumon program, and I saw how much it helped them succeed in high school and beyond. It’s also been great to see some of my former students bring their own kids for their first day of Kumon!

As a Kumon instructor, my goal is to make sure every student has the tools to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. We work with students of all abilities. While some come to Kumon to catch up, others come looking for an extra challenge and to get ahead in school.

At the orientation, you'll find out how Kumon's unique approach to learning can help your kids:

• Master math and reading, often helping them earn their best grades ever
• Build study skills such as confidence, focus and work ethic
• Reduce homework stress and test anxiety

Your child/children will complete an assessment that will give you:

• Valuable insights into where they stand in their learning
• A recommended progression path that shows what your kids can achieve in their first six months of Kumon

The instructor will prepare an individualized lesson plan for your kids and support them as they progress through Kumon.
