My Journey
I have long been inspired by Socrates’ reflection that “the unexamined life is not worth living.” I strive to live with meaning and purpose—not just for myself, but for my family and community.
As a mother, I have always aimed to raise my children as independent thinkers and compassionate, successful adults. As a professional, I aim to build businesses that not only support my family but also give back to the community. My journey has taught me the importance of keeping an open mind, embracing new opportunities, and learning from every experience.
I began my career with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from India and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, NJ. For over a decade, I worked as a Senior Analyst for several Fortune 500 companies, thriving in the corporate world. Yet, as my three children grew, I realized that while my career was advancing, my time with family was slipping away. That realization became the catalyst for change.
Education has always been central to my life and my children’s lives. While I worked full-time, they attended Kumon classes, which gave them discipline, confidence, and strong academic skills. Witnessing their growth inspired me to take a leap of faith: I left my corporate career and opened my first Kumon Center, combining my passion for education with my desire to live a more balanced and meaningful life.
For the past 15 years, I’ve pursued entrepreneurship with passion, building ventures that combine business excellence with community impact:
Kumon of Parsippany – Helping children excel in math and reading while instilling discipline, confidence, and lifelong learning skills.
Kumon of Livingston South – Our newest center, expanding our mission to empower more children to reach their highest potential.
As a certified Kumon Instructor, I take pride in shaping personalized learning experiences that go beyond academics. My vision is to help children build critical thinking, discipline, and resilience—skills that last a lifetime.
Entrepreneurship, for me, is about more than building businesses—it’s about building people. Whether it’s the students at Kumon, the clients at Woodhouse, or my own children, I am committed to helping others grow, succeed, and live meaningfully.
Outside of work, I embrace life with curiosity and joy. I enjoy tennis, golf, ballroom dancing, and playing the sitar. My biggest inspiration is my supportive husband and our three wonderful children, who remind me every day why I chose this path.
