Center Policies
Class Schedule
Students in Early Learning and Primary Instruction are scheduled to attend classes at their specifically chosen times. This will allow us to know how many students to expect at any given time and therefore schedule Assistants to best support our students. It also ensures that a seat is available for your student at the scheduled time.
During enrollment we will work with you to accommodate the time that best suits your schedule with the time slots available.
Please have your student attend at the scheduled time. If you do not arrive on time, you may be asked to pick up work for the day.
If your schedule changes and you would like to amend your regularly scheduled Kumon time, please see the center staff to check availability of your new time. Students enrolled in one subject attend class for approximately 20 - 30 minutes.
Students enrolled in two subjects will attend class for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Times vary based on students’ level, age, worksheets assigned, home work completed, etc.
Due to obligations, safety and liability concerns, all students must be picked up when the Center closes.
Attendance and Absences
At least 48hours’ notice is required if you need a change to your student’s regular workload or routine.
If you are planning a vacation let us know your last class day and the day you will return to class. We can prepare the work for you depending on how many worksheets/days of work you would like to take with you.
If your student is not able to attend a class, work will be reassigned to the next scheduled class day. Alternatively, if you want to pick up the work please call us, and we will drop off the work in the box located outside the center.
Center calendar and inclement weather closings/vacation schedules
The center is open year-round and observes the same holidays as the Gwinnett County School District. We will remind you ahead of time about the planned center closings. Students will receive work for all days the center is closed. You might request a reduced workload or no work if you choose to. For inclement weather closings we will follow the Gwinnett County closings. There are no makeup classes and tuition remains the same.
No food or drink is allowed in the center
Strictly no food or drink is allowed either in the parent waiting area of the classroom due to students who might have food allergies and sensitivities. Please ensure your child(ren) consume their food or beverage before entering the waiting room.
Kumon Tuition
The tuition is due on the 1st of each month, and we will process through via EFT.
Upon enrollment, we collect a $80 registration fee, $50 one-time material fee and the 1st month’s Kumon tuition.
We need at least a months’ notice for termination.
