About Your Instructor
Anisa Hassan
Anisa Hassan is the dedicated Instructor and Center Director of Kumon of Pflugerville East, where she combines her passion for education with a strong commitment to student success. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree from India and spent eight years practicing as a physician, working with patients of all ages.
After relocating to the United States in 2005, Anisa discovered her passion for teaching and working with children. This led her to begin a new chapter as a teacher at a local charter school—an experience that ultimately inspired her to open a Kumon Center and help students reach their academic potential.
Since then, Anisa has supported countless students in building confidence, improving their math and reading skills, and becoming independent learners. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the core principles of the Kumon Method: fostering a growth mindset and cultivating strong study habits.
Anisa works closely with each student and their family to develop personalized learning plans that support academic excellence at every level. Known for her patience, encouragement, and attention to detail, she strives to create a positive and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Outside of Kumon, Anisa enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering in the community, and continuing her own journey of lifelong learning.
