About the Center

Introduction

Welcome to the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Piscataway! Conveniently located across the street from Taco Bell, and sharing a parking lot with Black Belt World Taekwondo in Marko Plaza.  Kumon Math and Reading Centers develop the untapped potential of each and every child through building confidence and developing skills in the fundamental building blocks of math and reading. Our Kumon Center strives for the same success, motivating all of our students to perform at their highest potential.

We look forward to working with your family!

Policies

aCommitment demonstrated by parents and students is a prerequisite for enrollment into the program.

a100% attendance and homework completion are the keys to success in the program.aStudents are expected to attend class regularly.
aStudents spending time in class with our staff allows us to assess their progress, guide them in understanding new concepts, motivate them towards self-learning as well as prepare appropriate homework for them.
aStudents should follow class procedures.
aNo food or drink is allowed during class hours.
aStudents need to complete their work independently in a quiet and nurturing environment. Parents and siblings may wait quietly in the waiting area or in the mall area within the building.
aAny student disrupting class will be given a chance to work at a different table.  If disruptive behavior continues he/she will be asked to leave. The parent of any student who is disruptive will be given two (2) notices of their child's misbehavior. Upon the third violation of this policy, the student will be required to complete his Kumon studies at home for one month; no Center visits will be allowed. Upon return, one further violation will result in expulsion from the Center with no refund.
aThere are no make-up classes. However, we do want your child to receive his/her daily work. If you know in advance of an absence, please be certain to pick up adequate work to last until your next Center visit. If the absence is unexpected please call the Center and arrange for your child’s work to be left outside the front door.
