HARLIVLEEN MARWAH
Ms. Liv Marwah completed her Bacherlor's in Teaching Education in 2002 from India and soon after she moved to the US in 2003. Since then, Ms. Marwah has taught in both public and private schools in Kansas, New Orleans and Florida. Instructor Marwah has always been interested in learning what motivates students to learn, so she pursued a degree in psychology. She completed her Master of Science in Psychology degree in 2009.
Ms. Marwah has an extensive understanding of pedagogy: the science and art of teaching and education. She has worked with all kinds of students and has a good understanding of how the process of motivation works. She applies the principles of teaching and learning to make children understand the material at hand.
One of the Ms. Marwah's cardinal beliefs is that all children can be successful; one just needs to figure out which path is right for them. Her dedication to her students made her superintendent nominate her for the Kansas Teacher of the Year Award in 2005. She was the District Teacher of the Year for 2005-2006.
After moving to New Orleans in 2006, Ms. Marwah worked in a Catholic private school where she was nominated for the Saints Teacher Award in 2009. She was honored for her dedication to her students and her excellence in teaching in the Mercedez Benz Superdome in front of 80,000 people during a New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots game in November 2009.
Ms. Marwah continues her passion for teaching in a Kumon classroom now. She is excited to begin this new journey as she feels confident that she can help children learn to be life long learners.
