About Your Instructor
Octavian Iosup
Octavian Iosup, Kumon Instructor
Hello! I am the Instructor at the Kumon Center of Plantation South. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share with you a little of my background.
I bring a strong academic background and a lifelong passion for education to this role as a Kumon Instructor. Originally from Romania, I developed a love for learning early on, attending the prestigious Vasile Alecsandri physics and math high school. I later earned a bachelor’s degree in Thermal Engines Mechanical Engineering from Lower Danube University in 1996 before immigrating to the United States in 1999.
My dedication to continuous learning led me to obtain a second degree in Electronics from DeVry University Chicago in 2008. With a career as a design engineer, I have always been drawn to problem-solving and innovative thinking. My passion for education extends beyond my profession—I actively supported my children's learning journey from early days throughout college years.
As a Kumon parent myself, I witnessed firsthand the benefits of the program, with my older child successfully completing the Kumon Reading Program. I deeply value the role of structured learning and independent problem-solving in shaping young minds.
With a "can-do" mindset and a belief in the potential of the next generation, I am committed to fostering strong foundational skills in math and reading for our students. My goal as a Kumon Instructor is to inspire confidence, perseverance, and a love for learning in every child, preparing them for success in an ever-evolving world.
