Tuition:
- Kumon monthly tuition is $195 per subject/per student*. Monthly tuition is $365 for both subjects.
*Early Learner Program: If you wish to enroll in the Early Learner Program for only one subject, the monthly tuition is $250.
- Tuition is due by the 1st of each month via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) (For example: June's monthly tuition is due in May). The account you provide will be charged monthly. There is a charge of $35 for a returned check or insufficient funds.
- If tuition payments are received after the due date, a $20 late fee will be assessed and must be included with your tuition payment.
- A registration fee of $80 with a one-time $30 materials fee per student, a non-refundable fee; is collected at the time of enrollment.
- Kumon is a long-term program, therefore; it is highly recommended that all new students make a minimum of a 12-month commitment.
- 30 days** (one full calendar month) advanced written notice is required for any status change such as discontinuation of the program, taking a break, adding, or dropping a subject, stopping automatic debit etc.
**For example, if your child will be absent for the month of July, you need to notify us by May 31st.
- The first month can be prorated based on when the student starts the first day. The prorated month is NOT included in the initial 12 months commitment.
- Kumon does not prorate tuition past the first month and there is neither cancellation nor refund for any commitment period or paid tuition. Tuition is subject to change without notice.
- Tuition is non-refundable once a student has begun receiving work assignments or attended class for the month. Hours: The Class hours are:
- In-Person: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 3:00pm – 7:00pm - Virtual/Zoom: Monday and Friday, 4:00pm – 6:00pm.
Please join promptly at your child’s scheduled time.
Center Calendar and Closings: The Center will follow Montgomery County Public School Policies for closing. If the county schools are closed or dismissed early due to weather, then the Kumon center will also be closed for that day. Your child’s safety is our top priority.
Home Correction/Home Grading: Home Correction/Home Grading is required before working on the next assignment therefore students can learn from the mistakes. All parents grade their child(ren)'s worksheets at home on a daily basis so that students can correct any mistake immediately. Please ask for the link for the online answer key book as well as guidelines for home grading.
Daily Study:
- Study on daily basis, consistency is the key to success.
- It is critical that Kumon work is done daily, and not all at one time, after several skipped days. Setting a solid daily ROUTINE is very central to the successful Kumon Method.
- Return all completed homework, as well as incomplete worksheets, to the Center so that the instructor can evaluate and adjust each student’s work. Such individualization is what sets Kumon apart from a regular school curriculum.
- New assignments will NOT be given until previously assigned work is returned.
- Kumon is training your child to become an independent self-learner and try to provide a solution to improve your child’s learning. Becoming a better learner is an ongoing process that requires daily practice and disciplined study habits, as well as the continual acquisition of new study skills and concepts from each Kumon level.

- Children should not play on or around the doors at the Center. Children should always walk inside and outside of the Center and mall area. If you choose to leave your child to run a quick errand, please be aware of the average length of time it takes your child to complete their work and return to the center before they are finished. Children are not to be waiting for the parent/guardian to return to the center.
- The parent/guardian shall be liable for any damages and injuries caused by their child to other persons and the parent agrees to hold harmless, defend and indemnify Kumon North America, Inc., and its instructors. - Please supervise your child to use an indoor voice and no running inside the mall waiting area. Children are required to have an adult company to enter any mall store.
Vacation or “days away” from the Center:
If you must be away for any length of time, we strongly encourage you to take Kumon worksheets with you to avoid breaking your child’s Kumon routine. Work will be provided when notified at least 24 hours in advance. Same-day requests for vacation worksheet adjustments may not be honored.
Should you need to take a calendar month off from Kumon, you must notify the Instructor at least two weeks in advance. If students are absent for more than a month, re-enrollment will be required, and new tuition rates and the $80 registration fee may apply.
