About Your Instructor
Ace Marcos
My name is Ace Marcos and I have served as a Kumon Instructor for over 10 years.
My journey with Kumon began as a kindergarten student when my mother enrolled me at her Kumon Center. I continued until I completed the Math and Reading Programs to become a dual program completer. After completion, and throughout high school, I helped my mother operate her two Kumon Centers in Houston, TX as her Chief Assistant. I learned to use the Kumon Method, my knowledge of the program, and my desire to teach students to assist her in producing multiple Kumon Program Completers.
During my college years at the University of Texas at Austin, I worked for the university as a Student-tutor. I tutored in private sessions as well as in group environments, furthering my knowledge of different learning styles and teaching approaches. As I progressed as a tutor, the university granted me special permission to tutor the highest Mathematics and Literature courses available.
After graduating in 3 years with Honors and a BA in Economics, I reflected on how I would like to share my talent and passion for education and helping others. I thought of my mother and how she has always been a source of my inspiration. To be a role model for young students and to guide them through their own journey towards academic enrichment like her was such an exciting possibility. I am a Kumon Instructor today because I want to empower students to become confident, lifelong learners who can persevere through any obstacle in life. To date, I have had the opportunity to help hundreds of students achieve academic and personal successes.
The Kumon Math and Reading Center of Princeton is currently holding Parent Orientations and I would love to meet with your family to discuss the immense value and passion I provide to all of my students.
