Yun (Sherri) Cheung
I’m Sherri Yun Cheung, Owner and Instructor at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Quincy-Quincy Avenue.
After I completed my degree from the University of Massachusetts-Boston many years ago, I found that I am actually passionate about working as an entrepreneur. While staying home with our 3 children, I have started my own real estate business firm and also have worked alongside with my husband's startups. As a committed Kumon parent for over 7 plus years, I found that Kumon is the perfect platform to fulfill my dream.
I have been a part of the Kumon Program as a parent myself, as my three children Mylee, Tyson and Emilee have been attending Kumon from an early age. I have seen them grow positively in academics owing mainly to the sound foundation provided by Kumon, enabling them to transition into school work effortlessly and smoothly. In addition to excelling in academics, Kumon has also ensured they get sufficient time for carrying out extracurricular activities.
Mylee is a great example of how Kumon has groomed her as a confident, self-assured and independent child, well beyond her age. “Kumon is a second home to me, and I feel confident amongst my friends”, says Mylee very proudly. With the help of Kumon, Mylee is able to make time for her favorite activities such as reading, drawing anime and playing with her siblings and friends, and this plays a great role in motivating her to continue going to Kumon.
The earlier you associate yourself with Kumon, the more productive it would prove to be for your child. Suffice to say Kumon helps children to effectively learn and support parents in providing a greater platform for their children to learn and reach their full potential!
