Arizchelle Fababaer
Arizchelle Fababaer impacted the lives of youth as an elementary school teacher for three years before taking a break to raise a family. Now, she’s continuing that passion for education and entering the world of small business ownership by opening the Kumon of Richmond Pecan Grove.
Arizchelle (or Rachel as most people know her) isn’t new to Kumon. She worked as an assistant in a Kumon Center for seven years before she went on to earn a degree in education from the University of Houston and launched a career as a school teacher.
“Kumon has always been a huge part of my life,” said Arizchelle, owner and instructor of the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Richmond Pecan Grove. “Even as an elementary school educator, I always found myself referring back to Kumon. I see the strong potential in the individualized learning program and how it helps kids develop a passion for learning.”
The Kumon Method empowers preschool to high school aged children to become self-learners and is designed to advance math and reading skills while fostering a love for learning. It goes beyond traditional tutoring by actively developing critical thinking skills as children progress independently through a carefully crafted curriculum.
“Working at Kumon never felt like a job to me, so when I decided to return to work after starting a family, it only made sense to open the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Richmond Pecan Grove as my own,” said Arizchelle. “I look forward to sharing my passion for not only education, but also the Kumon Method with the families in my community. I know that together we can help students develop an eagerness to learn.”
Arizchelle is fully committed to helping children in Richmond and surrounding communities excel in Math and Reading, and succeed in their overall academics.
