About the Center

Introduction

Welcome to the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Saginaw. For more than 50 years, Kumon’s after-school academic enrichment program has helped children achieve success worldwide. We strive to instill in children the desire to achieve and the motivation to learn on their own. Whether your child is seeking enrichment, needs help catching up or is just beginning his or her academic career, Kumon is designed to help him or her develop a love of learning.

Students advance through the program at their own pace. Our emphasis on individualized learning helps your child become focused, motivated and self-reliant. We monitor each child’s progress to ensure comprehension before moving on to a new concept. With a strong academic foundation, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, your child has the potential to achieve whatever he or she desires.

The Kumon Math Program is a comprehensive curriculum that develops the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus. For more information about the Kumon Math Program, click here.

The Kumon Reading Program begins with basic phonics and progresses all the way through advanced reading comprehension. For more information about the Kumon Reading Program, click here.

  3. First month tuition, $140 per subject; $280 for two subjects/student

In order for the last month’s deposit to be returned, two conditions must be satisfied:

  2. The student must have remained enrolled for at least 6 months.

CENTER POLICIES

There are no make-up sessions. However, we do want your child to receive his/her daily work. If you know in advance of an absence, please be certain to pick up adequate work to last until your next Center visit. If the absence is unexpected please call the Center and arrange for your child’s work to be left outside the front door.

If you desire to be gone for a month or more, be advised that Kumon North America permits absences of up to one month in a calendar year. Any absence longer than that will require re-enrolling the student and paying the registration fee again

Per the Kumon Center of Saginaw Policy, if the absence occurs in the first 6 months of enrollment, the original last month's deposit will be forfeited.

We recommend taking a reduced workload on vacation rather than stopping Kumon study entirely. After the first month, there are no partial months.

TUITION, ONCE PAID, IS NOT REFUNDABLE OR TRANSFERABLE.

There is a $10 fee for any NSF or other returns.

There is a late fee of $10 for payments received after the fifth (5th) day of the month.

Parent checking of all work done at home is strongly encouraged; home grading done the same day as the work provides immediate feedback, and ensures that corrections will be made soon after the mistake has been identified.

All answer books are to be returned.

It is the parents’ responsibility to ensure the child is completing the homework assigned on a regular basis. Grading the work as soon as it is completed is one way of ensuring the homework is done.

Your child may attend our Center one or two days per week.
