About Your Instructor
Lesteni Wilkins
I have a bachelor’s in education and a master’s degree in linguistics. Through my many and varied experiences of working with students since I was in college, I feel that I am uniquely prepared to be a Kumon Instructor in Santa Monica.
I am a Kumon parent of 9th grade and 5th grade students. They have been doing Kumon since they were 3 years old and have advanced a few years above their grade level. I have been closely working with my children from their early levels up to the levels they are now in. It has helped me see the benefits of doing Kumon from my first-hand students, my own children. I have learnt from them how important it is that they keep doing their work consistently, that I nurture their love of learning, and motivate them to reach their full potential. The Kumon Program has helped prepare them for school, and built their confidence academically.
