At Kumon of Schaumburg Golf, our mission goes beyond academics. By unlocking each child's potential, we help students develop the discipline, resilience, and critical-thinking skills that prepare them for future success. Whether their dreams lead them to become scientists, engineers, artists, entrepreneurs, or community leaders, we strive to equip every child with the foundation needed to achieve their goals. Leading this mission is Dr. Saxena, whose passion for education and commitment to student success have inspired families for nearly two decades.
Dr. Saxena brings over 32 years of experience in education, research, and mentoring. She holds a Ph.D. and has served as a scientist, instructor, and mentor at prestigious institutions, including Case Western Reserve University, the University of Chicago, and Argonne National Laboratory. She has authored numerous professional publications and received prestigious awards for her contributions to research and education.
Although she has taught and mentored students at the university and community college levels, Dr. Saxena has always been passionate about children's education. As an active member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), she believes that education is the foundation for lifelong success and a stronger society.
Her journey with Kumon began as a parent when she enrolled her daughter in the program and witnessed firsthand how it strengthened her confidence and academic abilities. Today, her daughter is a successful aerospace engineer who has worked at NASA and Boeing. This experience reinforced Dr. Saxena’s belief that confidence is one of the greatest gifts we can give children and that strong foundations in math and reading are essential to building it.
Since taking over the center in 2006, Dr. Saxena has dedicated herself to helping students develop strong academic foundations, independent learning skills, and a lifelong love of learning. Specializing in advanced math and reading instruction, she has guided countless students toward exceptional achievements, including admission to top universities, success in competitive academic programs, and significant scholarship awards.
Committed to lifelong learning and professional growth, Dr. Saxena regularly attends educational conferences, study groups, and training programs to stay current with best practices and ensure every student receives the highest level of support.
For over 20 years, she has proudly served thousands of students and families from Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Elk Grove Village, Mount Prospect, Streamwood, Bartlett, and surrounding communities. Her mission remains simple: to help every child build confidence, achieve academic success, and reach their full potential.
