A Kumon teaching Assistant is responsible for accurately and efficiently grading student worksheets, tracking progress, and providing support to the Kumon Instructor. The role requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals. Responsibilities:
Accurately grade student worksheets in mathematics and reading according to the Kumon grading guidelines.
Record student progress and maintain up-to-date records, ensuring data is accurate and easily accessible for the Kumon Instructor.
Prepare and organize student materials, including worksheets, progress reports, and portfolios, ensuring they are ready for use during class sessions.
Assist the Kumon Instructor in monitoring the classroom, maintaining a quiet and orderly learning environment for students.
Provide guidance and support to students when necessary, encouraging them to work independently and develop problem-solving skills.
Communicate with the Kumon Instructor regarding student progress, concerns, or any potential issues that may arise.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to continually improve your knowledge of the Kumon program and grading techniques.
Assist with other administrative tasks, as needed, such as answering phone calls, responding to parent inquiries, and maintaining the center's cleanliness.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; college students or recent graduates with strong academic backgrounds are preferred.
Proficient in mathematics and reading, with a solid understanding of the subject matter covered in the Kumon curriculum.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and communications kills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff members.
A passion for education and a genuine interest in helping students succeed academically.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Prior experience in tutoring or education is a plus, but not required.
Note: All candidates must be able to pass a basic mathematics and reading proficiency test as part of the hiring process.

Pay: $13 - $17.00 per hour based on experience
Expected hours: Mondays & Thursdays3PM-7PM, Weekends as needed
