Jemima Lee
Jemie Lee brings a rich blend of passion, experience, and dedication to her role as the instructor of Kumon South Riding. A former Kumon student and assistant, Jemie deeply values the transformative power of the Kumon Method in developing independent, disciplined learners. She credits Kumon with shaping her own skills in problem-solving and self-learning, which have been instrumental in her personal and professional success.
Jemie’s professional journey spans a variety of fields, showcasing her adaptability and commitment to growth. She holds a Master’s degree in Teaching and spent three years as a classroom teacher. Following her teaching experience, she embarked on careers in journalism, film production, marketing, and communications. Before becoming a Kumon Instructor, Jemie served as a communications strategist for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate in the Biological and Physical Sciences Division, where she demonstrated her ability to thrive in dynamic and innovative environments.
Outside the classroom, Jemie enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and playing sports like golf. She’s an avid fan of basketball and baseball and loves spending quality time with friends and family.
Jemie is committed to fostering a love of learning in each student at Kumon South Riding. She strives to empower students to reach their full potential, cultivating confidence and lifelong learning skills.
