About the Center

Welcome to Kumon Math and Reading Center of Syosset.  We are located at 125 Jackson Avenue near Wells Fargo Bank.

For more than 60 years, Kumon’s after-school academic enrichment program has helped children achieve success worldwide. We strive to instill in children the desire to achieve and the motivation to learn on their own. Whether your child is seeking enrichment, needs help catching up or is just beginning his or her academic career, Kumon is designed to help him or her develop a love of learning.

Students advance through the program at their own pace. Our emphasis on individualized learning helps your child become focused, motivated and self-reliant. We monitor each child’s progress to ensure comprehension before moving on to a new concept. With a strong academic foundation, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, your child has the potential to achieve whatever he or she desires.

The Kumon Math Program is a comprehensive curriculum that develops the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus. Learn more information about the Kumon Math Program.

Math/Reading Placement Test: Free 

Registration: $80/one time, at the time of registration 

Materials Fee: $30/one time, at the time of registration 

Tuition: $165-175/Month/Subject 

Tuition Deposit: One month's tuition/Subject

Tuition fees are paid monthly on the 1st of every month by check, cash or Zelle. Credit cards are not accepted for payment.  If tuition is not paid by the 1st of every month, a late fee of $20 will be charged.  The monthly tuition is not prorated and is not refundable. Tuition is due in full if you receive any worksheets for the month. 

The tuition deposit is not refundable and can be used as your last month's tuition.

Class Attendance: Students should attend up to two in-center sessions in a week on their scheduled days and time. Please be available to pick up your child within 20-30 minutes if enrolled in one subject and within 40-60 minutes if enrolled in two subjects. Students who arrive on their unscheduled days/times will be allowed to only turn in their homework and pick up new assignments. 

Child Safety: Parents should come in to pick up their children promptly from the Center after his/her assignments have been completed. 

Workload: The number of worksheets assigned to students and the repetition pattern may be changed at any time. Students are given homework that he/she can easily complete on a daily basis. 

Absences: Please call and inform us if your child cannot attend a session so that we can adjust the work for the next class day. Please let us know in advance if you are going on vacation and want to pick up his/her work. There are no makeup classes or refunds for absences. 

Holidays: Kumon of Syosset observes most public holidays. All center closings will be announced ahead of time. The Center is open for the same hours during summer vacation.
