Shammina Hussain

Shammina Hussain, Owner and Director

I began with Kumon when my children enrolled in the Kumon program twenty years ago at a San Antonio Center. I watched my boys become resilient and independent, while studying above grade level which allowed them to have more free time to enjoy extracurricular activities.

My educational background includes a Master's in Accounting, with a Bachelor's in Accounting. I have also successfully completed the Kumon Instructor Certification Program. My true passion has always been education. I was happy to take over the Plano - Prestonwood Center in early 2017. I am a proud pillar in the Plano community. I continue on my journey and in 2024 October I took over the Southlake center.

I look forward to creating self-learners & confident individuals who will give back to the community in so many ways. I aim to bring out the best in each of my students. It is my hope that each of my students will gain a strong foundation in math and reading, gain confidence, and gain work skills that will follow them throughout life.
