About the Center

Introduction

Welcome to our Kumon Math and Reading Center of Thousand Oaks - North. We are conveniently located in the Oakbrook Shopping Center near Lang ranch on E Avenida De Los Arboles and Erbes Road in Thousand Oaks in between Tulip Nails and Great Clips.

At Kumon, we know that kids’ learning can’t wait. With the pandemic disrupting formal education for students across Thousand Oaks, many parents have contacted us with concerns about their children’s academic progress and skills development. We are proud to be able to serve our community by keeping students learning consistently with daily work at home and weekly Virtual Classes under the observation and guidance of our talented Kumon team.

Our program is designed for home study and nurtures the development of academic ability, independence, time management and confidence. Our popular Virtual Classes are just like visiting the Kumon Centre, but from the comfort of your own home! We look forward to offering our in-Centre classes as soon as possible.

Schedule a free orientation today to learn why Kumon is so much more than just tutoring.

For more than 60 years, Kumon’s after-school academic enrichment program has helped children achieve success worldwide. We strive to instill in children the desire to achieve and the motivation to learn on their own. Whether your child is seeking enrichment, needs help catching up or is just beginning his or her academic career, Kumon is designed to help him or her develop a love of learning.

Students advance through the program at their own pace. Our emphasis on individualized learning helps your child become focused, motivated and self-reliant. Kumon goes beyond tutoring.  We monitor each child’s progress to ensure comprehension before moving on to a new concept. With a strong academic foundation, critical thinking and
problem-solving abilities, your child has the potential to achieve whatever he or she desires.

The Kumon Math Program is a comprehensive curriculum that develops the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus. Learn

Kumon policy allows for one month of absence per student per calendar year. If a child is absent for a second month in a calendar year, that child is considered to have discontinued from the program and will be required to re-enroll with a discounted registration fee due.
