About Your Instructor
Carol Paull
Ms. Carol is the Kumon Instructor for both Harker Heights and Waco, holding a full license in math and reading instruction since 2017. Over the years, she has successfully guided numerous early learners to develop strong math and reading/writing skills, with many achieving multiplication and division proficiency by the end of first grade. Many of her students reach Algebra before the end of 4th grade, and study Algebra II and Pre-Calculus before the end of 6th grade. Impressively, 70% of Ms. Carol's students are studying above their grade level.
Year after year, Ms. Carol has celebrated her students' successes at the Academic Rodeo at the Heart O' Texas Fair and in UIL competitions. In 2019, one of her students was selected to attend Kumon's 3rd Annual Student Conference in Chicago. That same student later placed 3rd at the 2022 Scripps National Spelling Bee. Furthermore, a former student and a center assistant both achieved perfect scores on the ACT!
As an instructor, Ms. Carol prioritizes creating individualized study plans and projections for each student. This approach ensures academic success while accommodating their after-school activities and home life. Ms. Carol is a firm believer in every child's potential and is dedicated to providing students in Central Texas with a strong educational foundation, fostering confidence and independence as self-learners.
Ms. Carol understands the challenges posed by school disruptions with events like the pandemic and winter storms. She remains committed to supporting her families by providing weekly curriculum and Kumon Connect (tablet study). On May 4, 2020, Ms. Carol's center was 1st in Texas, 2nd in the US to safely reopen for in-person classes. Her innovative approaches during the pandemic were highlighted in the 2nd 2020 issue of the Voice. She also shared her insights on safe practices during COVID nationwide with her colleagues and was interviewed by KCEN and KWTX TV on strategies to help kids stay on track and avoid learning loss.
Ms. Carol is actively involved with Kumon North America, serving as the Local Instructor Advisory Council Representative for 2022 and 2023, member of the Instructors Conference Planning Committee for 2024 and 2025 and emceed the 2024 KNA Instructors Conference. Ms. Carol regularly attends study tours to enhance her centers with the best practices. Her dedication was recognized at the 2025 Kickoff Instructor Monthly Meeting.
