About the Center

Welcome to Kumon Math and Reading Center of Willow Glen!

For more than 60 years, Kumon’s after-school academic enrichment program has helped children achieve success worldwide. We strive to instill in children the desire to achieve and the motivation to learn on their own. Whether your child is seeking enrichment, needs help catching up or is just beginning his or her academic career, Kumon is designed to help him or her develop a love of learning.

Students advance through the program at their own pace. Our emphasis on individualized learning helps your child become focused, motivated and self-reliant. We monitor each child’s progress to ensure comprehension before moving on to a new concept. With a strong academic foundation, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, your child has the potential to achieve whatever he or she desires.

The Kumon Math Program is a comprehensive curriculum that develops the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus. Learn more information about the Kumon Math Program.

The Kumon Reading Program begins with basic phonics and progresses all the way through advanced reading comprehension. Learn more information about the Kumon Reading Program.

One-time fees at registration 

Registration Fee – $80 per child 

Materials Fee – $30 per child 

Complimentary Free Placement test. 

These Placement test lets you exactly know what skill kids require to develop for Math and Reading. It is important that we follow the placement test result and students are started at the level they are comfortable in to minimize any uncertainties and make their foundation stronger. This is one more way to see Kumon goes beyond tutoring and provides great learning, studying services so that kids can thrive.

TUITION POLICY: Please note, tuition is due on the 1st of the month. After that, it is considered late and a $25 late fee must be included with your payment. No exceptions. Please sign up for EFT. It is easy and germ-free.

Important Notice about EFT/discontinuation:
If you wish to discontinue Kumon, you must let us know in writing by the 1st of current month to stop payment for the following month. It does not matter when you signed up with Kumon. We need 30 days proper notice. This policy has been in place even before this pandemic struck us. It is extremely difficult for us to take any additional loss at this time. I hope you all understand.

Students coming in center need to:

• Wear mask (no exceptions).
• Wait for their turn while maintaining 6 feet social distancing.
• Need to schedule time before coming into our center.
• Get pencil and eraser.
• Use restroom before coming into the center.
• Do their homework.
• Follow their scheduled time.
• No class replacement.

Pick-up Drop policy: Each students should be picked up on time.
If anybody other than parents are picking up an email, text, phone is required to let us know. Please note students safety is our utmost priority. Please keep your child safe and help us keeping them safe.
No students will walk out without we seeing parents at the door 5 minutes before the departure time. Please note you are aware of the exit policy so kindly adhere to that and be on time to pick your own child. Kumon is not a day care facility and students should be picked on time. We cannot walk out each students only early learners age 3-5 years old are walked out only till the facility door after seeing their parents waiting for their child.Please do not ask students to walk by themselves or ask them to meet near Starbucks or any other place. Kindly let them know they should wait for your patiently and then they can exit the center. Please be diligence and come pick your kids on time and care for their safety.

  Candidates with a College degree or completed High school are ideal candidates for this job. If you are looking for 4 to 12 hours per week job, then this would be an ideal job for you. This is not a summer position. If you are looking for short term please do not apply.
  Job hours are in the afternoons Monday and Thursday from 3:20 PM-6:40PM and location is in center. Primary Responsibilities include:
  Assisting students online with zoom/google hangout all conducted in center.
  Grading and correcting assignments Reviewing and assigning new work Assisting with center operations.
  Qualifications:
  Math and Reading Aptitude
  Responsible, reliable, pleasant personality and self-motivated
  No prior experience required
  On-site training provided
  High School or college equivalent
  Knowledge of online zoom, google hangout (video-audio conferencing tool) is required.
