My name is Alex Vuong and I am the Kumon Instructor at Kumon Math and Reading Center of Alexandria - Franconia. My goal as an Instructor is to provide your child with the math and reading skills that are equally challenging and comfortable while encouraging your child to become self-motivated to continue moving forward with their education both in the Kumon Program and in school. Kumon’s method of repetition and review promotes mastery in each foundational skill set before presenting more challenging work to your child to continue their progress in their respective subjects. My background in Education allows me to create individualized lesson plans for your child, based on his or her own skill level to reach their maximum potential in the Kumon Program. I graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in Education. I have experience in public schools, teaching classes in Kindergarten through 8th grade so I have ample experience working with children of all ages and am excited to share my wealth of knowledge with you and your child to reach and exceed their math and reading goals!

Your free assessment helps us understand your child’s current learning level so we can recommend the best starting point. During the assessment, your child will complete a placement test, and the instructor will review the results with you and explain how the Kumon Program can support your child’s individual learning needs. There is no obligation to enroll, and you can reschedule your appointment at any time.
