About Your Instructor
Fei Liu
With a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, an Associate of Applied Science in Childhood Education, and an Associate of Applied Science in Applied Science, I bring a unique blend of academic and practical experience. My professional background includes working at Walt Disney World in Orlando and in the medical field, alongside over 17 years of experience in childhood education, tutoring, and customer service.
I am passionate about working with children and maximizing their individual potential. As a dedicated Kumon parent myself, I have personally witnessed the program's effectiveness in helping children achieve their full potential in math and reading, which inspired me to become a Kumon Instructor. This experience provides me with a valuable perspective on how Kumon can help students succeed academically.
My primary goals as an instructor are to help each student achieve their full potential in Math and Reading, including English as a second language, build self-confidence, and develop a love of learning. I achieve this by assessing each student's accuracy and speed in classwork and homework, observing their work skills, and ensuring they are studying at the appropriate level and pace to maintain challenge and motivation. I strongly believe that developing strong study habits is crucial for academic success and personal growth, fostering self-confidence, responsibility, effective goal-setting, and time management. I am also CPR/BLS certified and have proudly nurtured many students who went on to receive full-ride scholarships to four-year universities.
