About Your Instructor

YUMIKO ASANO

Prior to establishing her Kumon Center, Yumiko taught English to children n Japan and worked at an international Telephone company in Tokyo. After moving to the United States to pursue higher education, she dedicated herself to fostering cultural exchange by teaching Japanese language and culture at the Japan House Culture Center while also practicing Aikido (Japanese martial art). Her commitment to education led her to establish her own school, Himawari Bilingual School, before focusing fully on her Kumon Center. Today, after 28 yesrs with Kumon, Yumiko takes immense pride in seeing generations of her former stuents thriving in their adult lives.

How Does the Assessment Work?

Your free assessment helps us understand your child’s current learning level so we can recommend the best starting point. During the assessment, your child will complete a placement test, and the instructor will review the results with you and explain how the Kumon Program can support your child’s individual learning needs.

There is no obligation to enroll, and you can reschedule your appointment at any time.
