About Your Instructor

UMA KUMAR

Kumon is a very rewarding experience for me! I was first introduced to Kumon when I enrolled my older son over two decades ago. Kumon has been a part of our family ever since. I have seen both my sons grow with this program and fell in love with it, and opened my center in 2003.

My professional career started in education. I received my Master's Degree in Biology and taught high school students. On immigrating to the USA, I got a MBA from the University of Texas in Austin. After a career in blue-chip consumer packaged goods and technology, I decided to come back to my passion – teaching!

I have worked with over 2500+ students & have been excited to learn about their success stories. I view Kumon as not just a supplement to academics but also instrumental in developing character traits of resiliency, grit and goal-setting to reach and expand one's true potential with a growth mind-set. It is so rewarding to see a student transform along this journey and strike the confidence levels to believe that the sky is their limit!

How Does the Assessment Work?

Your free assessment helps us understand your child’s current learning level so we can recommend the best starting point. During the assessment, your child will complete a placement test, and the instructor will review the results with you and explain how the Kumon Program can support your child’s individual learning needs.

There is no obligation to enroll, and you can reschedule your appointment at any time.
