About the Centre

Welcome to Kumon of Burnaby Highgate!
 
For approximately twenty years, this centre has delivered the Kumon enrichment program and has been a part of many families' lives and children's successes in the area. Despite a new instructor taking over the centre in May 2012, the Kumon method and philosophy delivery continues to be the main focus in the centre. As part of this method, our team strives to help children unlock their potential and achieve more. 

This centre is located at 7349 Edmonds Street, Burnaby. Street parking is available on Linden Ave, and a parking lot with reduced rates is located behind the centre. 

Monthly Tuition

The monthly tuition fee will depend on your child's age:

• Early Learners: Students younger than 7-years old
• Regular Students: Students who are 7-years old and above

The monthly tuition is as follows:
If your first class is before the 16th of the month

• Early Learners: $180 per subject
• Regular Students: $165 per subject

** $20 discount per month per family when siblings are enrolled in four or more subjects.

** Please anticipate a $5 per month/ subject tuition increase every April 1st as of April 1st 2023.

If your first class is on or after the 16th of the month 

• Early Learners: $90 per subject
• Regular Students: $82 per subject

Placement Testing is free.
 
All new students must pay a one-time non-refundable Registration Fee of $50. The registration fee will NOT be applied to students registering in a second subject, this also does not apply to transfer students.

The tuition fee for the first month of enrollment must be paid via cheque/e-transfer. Following the first month, tuition payments will only be accepted through Pre-Authorized Debit. Upon enrollment, the Registration Fee and first-month tuition are due.

In order for your child to maximize their experience at our centre, we kindly ask that our families adhere to the following policies:

• All parents and their younger children will be required to stay in the Parent Waiting Area and not enter the classroom. We ask that those waiting in the Parent Waiting Area remain quiet so as to not disturb students in the classroom. Any cellphone conversations should be conducted outside of the centre. 

• While we always welcome feedback, during class hours, the Instructor's attention will need to be in the classroom with the students. If you need to speak with Toktam, please send us an e-mail or give us a call outside of class hours, or speak with her during our office hours.

• If you plan to be absent and require extra work, kindly e-mail us at least one week in advance.

• The centre will close for two weeks in December as well as when there are school closures due to inclement weather. The centre will be closed on all statutory holidays unless otherwise noted.

• All drivers must be particularly cautious when entering or leaving the parking area in order to keep our students safe.

• Should you wish to withdraw from Kumon, you must notify us at least one full calendar month in advance.
