I also obtained my MBA in Finance & Information Systems while working full time and then took up a new position at Sabre (part of American Airline & AMR Corporation at DFW) as Profitability Analyst in 1996. Since then, until 2024, I have worked and gained experience in Corporate, Financial Services, IT Sales Finance, Pricing, Costing at Sabre, EDS, Hewlett Packard, and NTT Data. In 2024, I decided to embark on a personal dream that I had cherished for a long, long time to be an entrepreneur.
A parent developed the Kumon method to enhance the learning ability of their child. The Kumon method empowers the child to learn, apply, and progress ahead with confidence. As a parent, I have experienced this firsthand with both of my daughters. My older daughter quickly picked up on learning by referring to the examples that are provided at the start of the worksheet of a new topic. She developed the confidence of tackling the new topics on her own as she progressed through the Kumon levels and would exemplify the same to her younger sister when she started the Kumon program. My younger daughter too picked up that approach of learning and benefitted tremendously from learning with corrections.
Now both are in college ready to enter their professional careers soon. Both have developed into independent learners by using available resources, researching, applying this approach to their specific questions or problems at hand, asking critical questions and making informed decisions.
I have worked as an employee all my professional career working for someone. A dream I have cherished is to work for myself where I can generate work for others.
I have experienced what difference Kumon brings to the parents, children, and people who work at Kumon. Becoming a Kumon Instructor would allow me to work for myself, while providing this time-tested method of empowering our future generation and also enable a place for young aspirants to learn to walk in the real world of working for wages as assistants.
I value right knowledge and right action. I stand for development and growth by seeking right knowledge, doing right action, growing continuously. I want to grow myself into a better human being, a better community member, a better citizen by continuing to learn and also be an instrument to help others learn to be better versions of themselves.
