About the Center

Welcome to our Kumon Math and Reading Center Croton-on-Hudson!

For more than 60 years, Kumon’s after-school academic enrichment program has helped children achieve success worldwide. We strive to instill in children the desire to achieve and the motivation to learn on their own. Whether your child is seeking enrichment, needs help catching up or is just beginning his or her academic career, Kumon is designed to help him or her develop a love of learning.

Students advance through the program at their own pace. Our emphasis on individualized learning helps your child become focused, motivated and self-reliant. We monitor each child’s progress to ensure comprehension before moving on to a new concept. With a strong academic foundation, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, your child has the potential to achieve whatever he or she desires.

The Kumon Math Program is a comprehensive curriculum that develops the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus. For more information about the Kumon Math Program, click here. 

The Kumon Reading Program begins with basic phonics and progresses all the way through advanced reading comprehension. For more information about the Kumon Reading Program, click here. 

Monthly Tuition: 

$170 per subject, per child. 

Registration Fee: 

One-time fee of $80.

In order for Kumon to be a well-rounded success, we have to instill specific policies.

Class sessions and homework:
All sessions must be scheduled. This is important to maintain student and staff safety and also provide a good session of study for each and every child. Home sheets are given for daily practice and should be returned to the center every time your child attends. Homework and daily practice is integral to progress at Kumon. If the student is absent on a center day, please pick up their homework in the mailbox by the front door. It will be in a clear plastic baggie with the child's name.

Vacation:
If you will be going on vacation, please advise the instructor so that we can provide the correct lesson plan for your child while away. Again, if no homework is wanted while away, please speak to the instructor. It is Kumon policy to consider the child withdrawn from the program after one full month of absence without notice.

Tuition:
Tuition will be collected/charged by the first of the month. Tuition is non-refundable. If you wish to discontinue enrollment, 15 days advance written notice is required.

Note:
We ask that all requests and inquiries to the instructor not be had during center sessions. Please make an appointment or a time to call. We welcome all communication outside of class hours via telephone, email, or in person with an appointment. Your child deserves the instructor's full attention during class time. Thank you.
