Yeow-Heng Ong
Having a technical and analytical background, Mr. Ong had found the methodological approach of Kumon to be very effective to help students to learn new skills in Math and Reading. The Kumon Program helps a student develop discipline, strong work ethic and resilience in their daily practice to advance academically. Being strong academically leads to self-confidence and a love for learning.
After observing many students improve through the Kumon program, Mr. Ong truly believes that it can help any student who desires to be better or to advance further. Kumon is more than just a Math and Reading program. It is an opportunity for young students to build their confidence and feel good about themselves in their crucial development years – its life changing.
Mr. Ong earned his Bachelor in Computer Engineering and Master in Information Security. He had a corporate career as a Senior Software Developer for more than 15 years. He worked and led teams to implement large scale projects in the software industry. Although he had a successful corporate career, he decided to transition to be a Kumon Instructor because it gives him the opportunity to create a more meaningful difference by impacting the younger generations positively.
