I began my professional journey as a certified teacher in my hometown of Wausau, Wisconsin, where I taught from 4th through 8th grade for five years. A desire for travel and adventure carried me overseas for 22 incredibly rewarding years in Kuwait, Qatar and Abu Dhabi. I pioneered educational programs for private American schools, continued to teach in the K-12 setting, and ran a network of Grade Power/Oxford Learning supplemental educational centers for 15 of those years. Working with children and their families from a wide variety of backgrounds, nationalities and cultures brings me great joy and is truly my passion!   Known for helping students achieve tangible results and genuinely caring about the children in my care, I am very excited about this opportunity with Kumon of East Lake. I am eager to get to know all of you and your families to learn how I can best support and help develop your vision and goals for your child’s educational journey!   As the new Instructor, my team's goal will be to provide all students with a welcoming and supportive environment which fosters each child’s confidence, concentration, and ability to learn independently.
