To our valued Kumon families-
As we listen to the guidelines put forth by the State of Illinios and the experts regarding the spread of the COVID-19 Virus Kumon of Edwardsville will be limiting our in-center class sessions to those taking Achievement Tests effective immediately through at least March31st . We will continue our measures of cleanliness and hygiene for any of these potential limited class visits. However, the center will remain OPEN and Kumon learning will still continue! We will provide homework pick-up and drop-off, and will also provide remote instructional support through phone calls, Skype or Facetime on an as needed basis. In order to make this work, someone from Kumon will be available daily to answer question or help with instructions. Please be patient as we implement a system to facilitate this. More information will be made available soon regarding times instruction will be available.
Pickup for new homework and drop off of your child's current completedwork for STUDENTS WHO REGULARLY ATTEND ON MONDAY will be regularclass hours of 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm tonight.
THURSDAYSTUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO PICK UP THEIR WORK ON THURSDAY duringregular class hours of 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
At this time one week of work will be provided, and please remember to drop-off completed homework when picking up. We also highly encourage parent grading at home during this time. This will provide your student immediate feedback and allow them to learn from correcting their mistakes right away. This will also allow your student to progress more quickly during this time when class sessions are limited or closed. A brochure explaining the grading procedures will be included with each students work along with an answer key to aid you in the grading of your child's homework. The bonus of the Kumon program is that your child already is used to doing work at home and this is an intregral part of the Kumon process. Your child can still gain much progress even with having limited time in the center.
Please be prepared for further potential changes during this difficult time. We are here to support your students continued learning and help them reach their full potential!
Thankyou for your support and understanding!Maureen Bode
